Celebrating Chopin
SymphonyCast presents a one-hour special hosted by Brian Newhouse, featuring Grammy award winning pianist Garrick Ohlsson performing from a little village near Warsaw, Poland - the birthplace of Frederic Chopin. The concert was given, and our broadcast distributed nationally, on March 1, the exact anniversary of Chopin's birth 200 years ago. Ohlsson plays the recital on Chopin's own 1848 Pleyel piano.
