Program:
Dukas: The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Saint-Saens: Violin Concerto No. 3
Schumann: Symphony No. 3

Description:
Funny thing about Italy: for all of its beautiful opera houses, there aren't many world-class orchestras there. So an Italian musician who wants to learn how to conduct an orchestra has to go north, up and over the Alps. Toscanini, Abbado, Muti… Now Fabio Luisi is following in their footsteps, and that path has taken him to Europe’s premiere orchestral podium.
